About This Recruitment

Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission invites online applications for recruitment to 150 posts of Police Sub-Inspector (General Closed Cadre) in the Special Branch under the Home (Police) Department, Government of Bihar, through a competitive examination.

Eligibility Criteria

Indian citizens (male and female) who hold a graduate degree or equivalent as on 01-08-2025 are eligible. Candidates must also meet prescribed physical standards for height, chest and weight (no marks for physical measurements; non-qualifying candidates are declared failed).

Selection Process

Selection involves a two-stage written competitive examination (Preliminary and Main), followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (height/chest/weight verification), and final merit list based on Main exam marks; medical examination and character/antecedent verification follow before appointment.

Candidates must apply online through the 'Bihar Police' tab on https://bpssc.bihar.gov.in, after registering with a valid mobile number and email ID, and pay an application fee of Rs. 100 via net banking/UPI/credit or debit card.
