Bihar Librarian LET 2026 Syllabus

Bihar School Librarian Eligibility Test 2026 -- syllabus and pattern (BSEB Advt. PR 221/2026) Syllabus: the graduate (B.Lib.) Library Science course taught at recognised universities in the state. BSEB has not printed a separate topic list. Paper pattern: 150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes, computer based, no negative marking. 1. Library Science -- 100 questions: foundations of library science and the Five Laws, library classification (theory, DDC, CC, UDC), cataloguing and metadata (AACR2, RDA, MARC 21, Dublin Core, subject headings), library management, information sources and reference/information services, library automation and ICT, digital libraries and information retrieval, research methods and bibliometrics, school libraries. 2. General Knowledge -- 50 questions: Bihar GK, Indian history, geography, polity and economy, general science, static GK, basic reasoning and computer awareness.

Bihar Librarian LET 2026 Exam Pattern & Selection

Computer Based Test of 150 MCQs in 150 minutes (Library Science 100 + General Knowledge 50), no negative marking; pass/fail on the normalised score (e.g. a General candidate needs 75 of 150 after normalisation). Passing candidates get the School Librarian Eligibility Certificate.
