National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Exam 2026-27

The NMMSS exam is a national scholarship scheme test for students studying in Class 8 in government/aided schools in Haryana, aimed at identifying meritorious students from economically weaker sections for award of a monthly scholarship.

Student must be studying in Class 8 in a government/aided school of Haryana, must have passed Class 7 from a government/aided school with at least 55% marks, and the combined annual income of parents from all sources must be less than ₹3,50,000. Students of KVs, Navodaya Vidyalayas, KGBV, residential schools or private schools are not eligible. A student can sit for this exam only once.

Written exam with two parts - Mental Ability Test (MAT, 90 MCQs, 90 minutes, max 90 marks) and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT, 90 MCQs covering Science-35, Maths-20, Social Science-35, 90 minutes, max 90 marks); qualifying marks are 36/90 in each part (29/90 for SC/Backward Class/PwD candidates); no negative marking; result based on OMR sheet evaluation.
