Supreme Court of India Court Master (Shorthand) Recruitment 2026

Online applications are invited for direct recruitment to prepare a panel for filling 20 tentative vacancies of Court Master (Shorthand), a gazetted post in the Registry of the Supreme Court of India.

Bachelor's degree from a recognized University in India; proficiency in Shorthand with speed of 120 w.p.m. in English; knowledge of computer operation with typing speed of 40 w.p.m.; minimum 5 years regular service in the cadre of Private Secretary/Senior PA/PA/Senior Stenographer in Government/PSU/Statutory bodies.

Objective Type Test (100 marks, 1.5 hours) covering General English, General Knowledge, Judiciary provisions in the Constitution, Supreme Court Rules 2013, and Computer knowledge; Shorthand (English) Test at 120 w.p.m. (100 marks); Typing Speed Test on Computer at 40 w.p.m. (20 marks); Interview (30 marks).
